Expands job expiration times to allow players to pre-plan what their next load that may be in or near a destination city.
Proper planning can result in a player picking out and successfully completeling multiple loads consecutively and maximizing their profits as they will now be able to hunt for higher paying freight while finishing their current load and have enough time to get to reach the next one. This will be a great benefit for those who play on modded maps such as Coast to Coast.
Designed for use with Cargo Market Jobs, but will also work with Quick Jobs and Freight Market Jobs.
Jobs will now be available in the job market up to 168 hours (One Week)
Mod will begin to alter the job expiration times after 1 to 2 sleep cycles.
NOTE: This mod will eventually break Quick and Freight Market Jobs due to how SCS Software has programmed the core files for Quick Job and Freight Market Jobs minimum expiration times which cannot be altered by us.
For this reason, it is not suggested that this mod be used exclusively for Quick or Freight Market Jobs. Doing so may require the removal of all economy altering mods and a hard economy reset to repair the job market.
We are attempting to find a work around to this issue so that players operating strictly on Quick Job or Freight Market Jobs can fully take advantage of this mod.
Mod Priority and Compatibility
Requires Game Version 1.37+
Requires GDC Logistics – Realistic Economy Mod.
Place ABOVE GDC Logistics – Realistic Economy Mod
NOT INTENDED FOR USE WITHOUT THE GDC LOGISTICS – REALISTIC ECONOMY MOD. A STANDALONE VERSION WILL BE CONSIDERED BASED ON POPULARITY OF THIS MOD.
Trip Planner Guide
This guide is intended to help players calculate their total trip travel times to aide in their trip planning, and helps ensure on time delivery.
Trip Planning Formula
Trip Distance / Average Speed (55mph is suggested for the average speed) = Total Driving Hours
Total Driving Hours / 10 Hour Driving Shift = # of Ten Hour Rest Breaks Required
# of Ten Hour Rest Breaks x 10 Hours of Rest = # of Rest Break Hours
On Duty Status:
+ 30 minutes Per Fuel Stop
+ Time Spent Loading/Unloading (2 Hours for Live Loads, 10 Minutes for Drop and Hook)
= On Duty Time
# of Driving Hours + # of Rest Break Hours + On Duty Time = Total Trip Travel Time
Trip Planning Example:
Below is a example trip plan using the formula above.
First, take the total trip distance and divide it by the average speed of 55mph.
2317 Mile Trip / 55mph = 42.12 Driving Hours
Now that we know how many hours it will take to drive from the shipper to the receiver, we know need to know how many mandatory hours of service rest breaks will be required to complete the trip.
Most truck drivers will have a driving shift of 10-10.5 hours before stopping to take their mandatory 10 hours rest break. For this example we will use 10 hours.
42.12 Driving Hours / 10 Hour Driving Shift = 4.21 Ten Hour Rest Breaks Required
Now that we know it will take a mininum of 4 full Ten Hour Rest Breaks to complete the trip, we now need to add this additional time to our trip calculate our total trip travel time.
4.21 Ten Hour Rest Breaks x 10 Hours of Rest = 42.12 Rest Break Hours
On Duty Status
Your trip plan should also account for duties such as loading/unloading, pretrip inspections, and fueling, etc.
Give yourself an extra 30 minutes per fuel stop, 2 hours for a live load, and 10 minutes for a drop an hook. For example, let say this trip requires 2 fuel stops and is a live load.
2 Fuel Stops x 30 minutes = 1 Hour of On Duty Status
1 Live Load = 2 Hours of On Duty Status
This brings our total On Duty Status to 3 Hours
Now that we have our On Duty Status time, we can now combine it with our Driving Hours and Rest Break Hours to determine our total Trip Travel Time.
42.12 Hour Driving Hours + 42.12 Rest Break Hours + 3 Hours On Duty Status = 87.24 Total Trip Travel Time
This means that the entire trip from start to finish will take 87.24 hours to complete.
With this information now available, you can now determine if you will reach your destination in time for the scheduled delivery appointment.
